Malta’s biggest cinema complex was not beating around the bush this afternoon, sending out a warning to all Minecraft Movie fans of what would happen if they ended up engaging in a popular trend that’s causing chaos in theatres around the world.

“We’re thrilled to welcome fans to enjoy the Minecraft Movie, but we must remind all guests that disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated,” Eden Cinemas wrote at 4pm in an “Important Notice” on its Minecraft screenings.

Listing down everything from “shouting and throwing objects (including popcorn)” to “taking part in TikTok or social media trends that cause disruption, before, during, or after the screening”, Eden said “anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund given”.

Not stopping there, the cinema’s official page also warned that, “in serious cases, the police will be contacted”.

“Anyone causing damage to cinema property will be held responsible and prosecuted,” the announcement finished. “Help us create a respectful and enjoyable experience for all guests.”

Meanwhile, a video filmed in Malta showing the chaos that ensued in the already-notorious scene has already gone viral on TikTok, gathering over two million views in under 24 hours.
