More than 500 dogs and cats have been adopted from Malta’s Animal Welfare Department in recent months, and we’re loving the growing trend of people choosing to adopt, not shop.
In a heartwarming update shared by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Animal Rights, footage from the department’s adoption centre shows just how many furry friends have been given a second chance at life.
The video, which you can watch here, celebrates the animals who’ve found loving homes thanks to the ongoing efforts of staff, volunteers and the kind-hearted adopters who’ve opened their doors, and hearts, to a new four-legged family member.
