Watch: ‘This Makes No Sense’ Morning Traffic Accumulates After Pembroke Road Closure
Commuters attempting to go through Pembroke’s St Andrew road this morning were greeted with a long line of traffic going south due to the Pembroke Junction Project.
“30 minutes from Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq to summer school in Pembroke,” a local resident told Lovin Malta. “Not one traffic warden in sight. No foresight to redirect traffic from a road leading off the main one into Pembroke (currently one way) that can facilitate the flow downwards.”
“Also closing the road during the day to reopen at night makes no sense. It should be the other way around,” the resident said.
Maltese Traffic Road Updates reported at 8 a.m. that traffic was heavy in Triq Santa Andrija from the Coast Road direction southbound.
Traffic in Malta’s roads continues to be a major headache for commuters and drivers, with seemingly more cars and chaos on the roads every day.
