KDD, Malta’s first cannabis association approved to start operating and distributing legal Maltese-grown product to its members from its Attard headquarters, has already reached maximum capacity in its first week.

Cannabis associations are made up of a maximum of 250 members each, with KDD reportedly hitting 150 members in 48 hours. Now, Lovin Malta can confirm that the association has now hit its maximum of 250 members and will therefore not be able to accept any new ones (unless someone cancels their membership).

KDD officially kicked off its operations last Saturday, with founder Kenneth Ellul telling Lovin Malta the association has been “overwhelmed” with requests ever since.

“We hope we can be of service and leave a positive impact,” Ellul continued. “Cannot wait to meet and get to know members in our community.”

A number of other associations are expected to be up and running very soon, with some of them already having received official approval certificates.
