‘Whoever Weaponises Hunger Is Evil’ Malcolm Borg Reflects On Dire Situation In Gaza

Malcolm Borg has taken to social media to express his frustration with the dire hunger situation in Gaza yesterday evening.
Borg is the Head of the Centre of Agriculture, Aquatics and Animal Sciences at MCAST and specialises in food production, agriculture education, agriculture and crop husbandry, agroecosystems, permaculture, hydroponics and aquaponics.
“When my children tell me they’re hungry, I stop whatever it is that I’m doing and I prepare something for them to eat, like any other parent,” wrote Borg on Facebook. “Can you imagine your children going without food day after day, crying for food every day, until they become skin and bones and ultimately die of hunger?”
He went on to say how he had spoken to President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, several times regarding agriculture and he praised her for always listening and giving good advice.
Borg asks whether there is someone pulling the strings so well that we have sacrificed our principals for. He went on to ask if alliances kill off a person’s humanity and whether political convenience can lead to such fear that prevents us from condemning the genocide happening in Gaza.
“Food is the source of our life on this earth. Whoever uses it as a weapon of war is truly the definition of evil.”
What do you make of Borg’s comments ?
