Woman Fighting For Life After Being Hit By A Bus In St Julian’s

A woman is currently fighting for her life at Mater Dei Hospital after being hit by a bus in St Julian’s.

Yesterday, at around 7.30pm, Police were informed of a traffic accident that occurred in Triq Borg Olivier.

Police immediately convened at the location of the incident, where they found out that a woman whose identity is unknown, was hit by a Malta Public Transport bus.

The bus was being driven by a 35-year-old Hungarian man residing in St Paul’s Bay.

The woman was assisted by a medical team and rushed to Mater Dei hospital via ambulance where her injuries were certified as serious.

Magistrate Pilip Galea Farrugia is presiding over an inquiry into the case while police investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, Lovin Malta has reached out to Malta Public Transport, with a spokesperson telling the newsroom that an internal investigation from their side is ongoing and that they are trying their best to assist authorities with the investigations.
