What bad weather? Despite the adverse conditions putting a stop to the Carnival festivities in Valletta, hundreds of revellers braved the wind and rain last night to celebrate Carnival in Nadur.

Unlike the more structured Carnival celebrations in Valletta and Rabat (Gozo), the annual Nadur street party has gained a reputation for its spontaneity – with people trying to outsmart each other with extravagant costumes and going with the flow of the night.

Last night was no different, and here’s a collection of some of the best costumes of the night as snapped by Anaca Photography.

And if you missed it, it’s not too late…celebrations in Nadur are ongoing until Tuesday.
