Xewkija Resident Seriously Injured After Fall While Working On Reservoir
A man from Xewkija is currently fighting for his life at the Gozo General Hospital after sustaining injuries from a fall while working on a water reservoir.
Earlier today, at around 9:30 am, the police were informed that someone had fallen in a field located in Triq il-Madonna tal-Ħniena in Xewkija.
Police investigations revealed that the 68-year-old man fell from a height of about 10 courses while conducting work on a reservoir.
A medical team, along with members from the Civil Protection Department, assisted the man, who was immediately taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where his injuries were certified as serious.
Magistrate Brigitte Sultana is leading an inquiry into the matter. Meanwhile, police investigations are ongoing.
