Looks Like The Vitals-Steward Hospital Saga Might Finally Be Over
After years of controversies, handovers, financial issues and legal problems, the Vitals-Steward hospital saga might finally be over.
PN MP Adrian Delia announced that the courts have rejected an appeal by Steward against a landmark decision against them last February.
“Malta has won,” he said.
Back then, Judge Francesco Depasquale ruled fraud was committed during three stages of the process – before the contract was signed, when it was being negotiated and when Steward took over. He ordered that the St Luke’s, Karin Grech and Gozo General Hospitals be returned to the government.
Delia had filed this case back when he was Opposition Leader.
What action should come next?
