Love Island Star’s Maltese Ex-Boyfriend Could Still ‘Win Her Back’ As Current Partner ‘Not Her Type’
The complexities of love will not stop one Maltese man from reigniting a relationship with his ex-girlfriend – none other than Love Island star Gemma Owen.
Neil Farrugia and Gemma were an item for four months before she made it into Love Island, where she eventually coupled up with a British fishmonger by the name of Luca Bish.
Her newfound love, however, has not deterred Farrugia from winning her back, were he afforded the chance to do so.
When interviewed by British magazine OK! Magazine, he said: “I would definitely try my best to turn Gemma’s head back in my direction if I joined the show as a Bombshell.”
A ‘Bombshell’ is a contestant who enters the Mallorcan villa of Love Island after the show has already started (instead of being a part of the cast from the beginning). They are also known for bringing their own fair share of drama.
“Apart from her drop-dead stunning looks, Gemma has a super personality. She’s a cute character but also really mature and outgoing,” Neil added, maintaining that her current boyfriend is simply ‘not her type’.
As an aside, she is also the daughter of legendary footballer Michael Owen.
It’s better to have loved and lost, they say. But suffice to say that Neil’s hopes are far from extinguished. And should he have his way, we may yet see one Maltese man have his day on Love Island.
