Love Island’s Kyle Curmi Breaks Silence After Controversial Appearance At Girgenti Palace Party
One of the Love Island Malta stars has spoken out on social media after many people were outraged that he, as well as other Love Island participants, attended a government party at Girgenti Palace right after MPs voted against opening a public inquiry into the death of JeanPaul Sofia.
“About yesterday’s event,” Kyle Curmi started his Insta story with, before continuing (find his post verbatim below).
“I really don’t like getting involved in politics. When I opened my socials and realised what’s going on, I removed the story immediately for both situations. Giorgia, which is an innocent child, and Jean Paul’s family.”
“The situation and result is truly sad. After Love Island we’ve been invited and attending a number of events, and in our eyes this was just another event, without any political intentions.”
Curmi took to social media amidst a national backlash over MPs’ refusal to support a public inquiry into the death of the innocent 20-year-old.
Scenes from Parliament yesterday showed the grieving parents of Sofia attempt to speak to ministers and Prime Minister Robert Abela, but were ignored, and left in the dust of the ministers’ cars – some of which headed to Girgenti Palace, to enjoy a night with the orchestra.
What do you think of Curmi’s response?
