Luke Dalli Publishes Photo Of Threat And Weed Sent To His Mother’s Home
Luke Dalli has published a photo of a handwritten threat that a man left on his mother Helena Dalli’s doorstep along with a bag of weed.
The note reads “Next time I will be prepared to get something for the kids”, along with sarcastic hearts and kisses.
Dalli, who until recently hosted the ONE TV debate show Awla, said that he found the bag and the threatening note himself on 31st July when he dropped his daughter off at his mother’s home.
Security footage clearly shows a man parking his car, walking up to the Dallis’ front door and leaving the note and weed on the doorstep.
Although they immediately filed a police report along with the CCTV footage, the Dallis have yet to receive an update.
“I always believed that when you’re in politics you should expect anything and develop a thick skin. However, the words on this note were so shocking that we filed a police report,” he said.
“A case like this, against anyone, should be taken extremely seriously. However, this wasn’t the case for the European Commissioner.”
“We provided the authorities with a crystal clear video that shows his face and his car is pretty recognisable too. Almost a month and a half later we’re still waiting for a response. If what is written in the letter takes place, who will we blame? Lots of rhetorical questions that no one will answer.”
