Luke Dalli has announced he has stepped down as a ONE TV and ONE Radio host but said he plans to return to the PL’s media “when the circumstances are right”.

Dalli was one of ONE’s most prominent faces, hosting the debate show Awla and co-hosting the radio show Manatnejn along with Dean Hili.

Awla will continue with a new host.

“I am proud to have had the opportunity to provide 14 years of service to ONE through several TV and radio programmes,” Dalli said.

“This was a very hard decision for me, and it is one I took after several events that occurred in recent years, months and weeks, and above all after long periods of consultation with my nearest and dearest.”

“The fact that I was born and raised in the PL means this is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to take in my life. However, it was a necessary decision.”

“I thank all of you who expressed their love for me and allowed me into your homes through my broadcasts. We obtained viewership records together and for this I am forever in your debt.”

“This isn’t my final chapter in the PL’s media. When the circumstances are right, I will return with the same determination and sense of service towards the country’s largest political force that I always had in the past.”
