Malta Airport Ranks Europe’s Fourth Best For Queuing Times… But We Complain The Most About Queues
Malta’s International Airport has ranked the fourth best in Europe when it comes to queuing times… but Maltese people are the world’s top complainers when it comes to queuing times
The results were published by Casago, who analysed traveller reviewers on airlinequality.com.
According to passenger reviews, Belgrade Airport in Serbia tops the list as Europe’s best for queuing, with a whopping 66.67% of travelers rating their experience with 4 or 5 stars. This recognition is not a surprise, considering that ACI Europe honored Belgrade Airport as 2021’s best in service quality.
Meanwhile, Finland’s Helsinki Vantaa and Germany’s Sttugart Airports came in second and third, with Malta bringing in fourth at 60%, just above Portugal’s Porto (58.82%).
On the contrary, France’s Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport finds itself at the opposite end of the spectrum, with a meager 1.59% positive rating, closely followed by Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany at 5.73%. Interestingly, despite the British expertise in forming orderly queues, three UK airports are listed among Europe’s worst-rated for queuing times.
Only 21.21% of reviews from Maltese respondents, when broken down by country of origin, give airport wait times 4 or 5 stars. This puts Maltese travelers in the lead among those who are complaining, even ahead of American reviewers, who are at 24.96%.
