Malta Crowned Best Diving Destination At Boot Düsseldorf Dive Awards 2025
Malta has officially been named the world’s best diving destination at the boot Düsseldorf Dive Awards 2025, held on 24th January at the world’s largest yacht and water sports trade fair.
Renowned for its incredible wreck dive sites, stunning underwater landscapes, and top-tier diving infrastructure, Malta beat out stiff competition in the Destination category, securing this prestigious title thanks to expert judges and international public votes.
With over 40 diving centres, two decompression chambers, and protected marine areas like Ċirkewwa Marine Park, the Maltese Islands offer an unparalleled diving experience for all skill levels.
Add to that the Underwater Malta virtual museum, direct flight connections, and year-round diving opportunities and it’s no wonder Malta came out on top!
MTA CEO Carlo Micallef celebrated the win, saying:
