Malta Joins World’s Largest Tourism Summit For The First Time
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Ian Borg, shared snapshots from his participation at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) summit.
The WTTC, established in 1990, serves as the leading global authority on the economic and social impact of travel and tourism. It represents the private sector, bringing together CEOs and executives from top airlines, hotels, and tour operators worldwide.
“In Rome, today Malta is taking part for the first time in the world’s largest tourism summit @wtandtc,” wrote Borg on social media.
The council’s mission is to promote sustainable growth in the travel and tourism sector by collaborating with governments and international institutions to create jobs, boost exports, and generate prosperity. Through its research and insights, the WTTC seeks to highlight the sector’s value and advocate for policies that support its continued development.
