Malta Lands Three Gold Medals At The Special Olympics

Malta has won three gold medals at the Special Olympics being held in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier today, Gozitan swimmer Maria Pia Saliba has won Malta’s first gold medal in the 25m butterfly.

Anne Ebejer won Malta’s second gold in 200m race, while the unified bowling team, made up of Peter Mallia, Philip Gruppetta, Amanda Cini and Jessica Farrugia won the country’s third later that day.

Two silver medals were also won by Warren Schembri and Doreen Vella in tables tennis
