Malta Places Last In 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Malta finished in last place in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Armenia over the weekend.

Represented by Gaia Gambuzza with the song Diamonds in the Skies, Malta’s entry only garnered 43 points by the end of the voting. 

This placed Malta in 16th place among 15 other nations, with France bagging the win for this year’s Junior Eurovision.

The winning song, Maman by singer Lissandro, gathered a total of 203 points, while Armenia, in second place, gathered 180 points.

Malta has previously won the junior contest twice, in 2013 with Gaia Cauchi’s song The Start and again in 2015 with Destiny Chukunyere’s song Not My Soul.
