Malta Records Five COVID-19 Deaths But Active Cases Are On The Decline
Malta has registered five COVID-19 deaths over the past 24 hours, health authorities have confirmed.
In addition, there are 101 new cases of COVID-19 on the island.
Despite this, active cases continue to drop with 123 new recoveries being registered over the past 24 hours. The total active cases now stands at 1,420.
Moreover, the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine has already begun with a consignment of 10,000 vaccines being distributed to healthcare workers over the coming weeks.
The registered COVID-19 victims over the past 24 hours are as follows.
The first victim was an 88-year-old woman who tested positive on December 22nd.
The second victim was a 93-year-old woman who tested positive on December 13th.
The third victim was an 86-year-old man who tested positive on December 13th.
The fourth victim was a 95-year-old man who tested positive on December 16th.
And the fifth victim was a 77-year-old man who tested positive on December 21st.
