Malta Registers Two COVID-19 Deaths

A 73-year-old woman and an 81-year-old woman passed away after testing positive for COVID-19.

The 73-year-old had tested positive for the virus on 25th December. She passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.

The 81-year-old had tested positive for COVID-19 on 2nd January. She passed away earlier today at Mater Dei Hospital.

Malta’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 222.

Yesterday, Malta confirmed 85 cases of COVID-19, along with 64 new recoveries.

As of yet, there are 1,587 active COVID-19 cases in Malta
