Malta’s Kudo National Team Wins Big At International Lithuania Tournament

Members of Malta’s Kudo national team came back home as prize winners following an international tournament held in Lithuania.

The Lithuania Kudo Cup international tournament was held in Kaunas over the last days, with Malta sending over its best players to compete.

The Maltese Kudo players that went up to compete were Nichita Mazurchevici, Nick Vassallo, Matvei Petrovskii, Khasan Abdukhamidov, Jacob Abela, Amedeo Di Monaco, Thy Azzopardi, Emil Karapetyan, Milana Manilova, who were all awarded a combination of gold, silver, and bronze medals.

“The whole team showed a high level of technique, and unbending will, and was able to fulfill all the coaching instructions,” Kudo Malta said on social media.

“The result of this was that all nine athletes of the delegation became prize-winners!” it said.

Thy Azzopardi was also awarded the special prize ‘The Will To Win’ for displaying outstanding willpower throughout the matches.

“Many thanks to the Lithuanian Kudo Federation and personally to Vilius Tarasevičius for organizing a high-level tournament and for a warm welcome! Labai ačiū!” Kudo Malta said.
