Malta’s Latest COVID-19 Death Contracted The Virus After Admission To Mater Dei
Malta’s latest COVID-19 victim, a 71-year old Maltese man, contracted the virus after being admitted to Mater Dei Hospital.
The victim was admitted to Mater Dei on 8th September and tested positive on 21st September. He died at this same hospital earlier today.
Throughout the past few days, the 71-year old had tested negative for the virus, but due to the symptoms he was exhibiting, he was still considered COVID-19 positive.
This brings Malta’s COVID-19 death toll up to 44.
Health authorities said that the victim had underlying health conditions.
