Maltese Activists Take Their Message To Prime Minister All The Way To The Stars
Several protests and actions have been organised around Malta since the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, but this latest one has quite literally taken it to a whole new level.
Youth activist group Awturi has officially named three stars in the Lyra constellation after Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, his chief of staff Keith Schembri and Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi.
The intention of this action is to sarcastically criticise the way several people idolise Muscat and his two close allies.
In fact, the official star deeds come complete with cheeky personalised messages – ‘Panama’ for Mizzi and Schembri and ‘Supreme Leader’ for Muscat.
Naming a star is relatively cheap and indeed only cost the activists around $35 (€29) per star.
