Maltese Army Publishes Raw Photo Of Migrant Who Died On Rubber Dinghy With A Companion

Malta’s Armed Forces (AFM) have published a photo of yesterday’s rescue operation, in which a dead migrant and a critically injured one were found aboard a rubber dinghy.
“Following [our statement of the rescue], the Armed Forces of Malta is now releasing a photo of yesterday’s rescue operation of two persons on board a rubber boat,” the AFM said. “While the first casualty was found to be in critical condition and brought to Malta by AFM’s AW139 helicopter, the second person resulted dead and is being transferred to Malta by the AFM’s P52.”
It is unknown how the man died at this stage.
The AFM’s rescue came hours after a medical evacuation took place aboard the vessel ‘Open Arms’ that saw eight migrants removed from a ship that was stuck between Malta and Italy for the last 14 days.
