Maltese Bowler Wins His Second International Gold Medal

Team Malta won a gold medal on the first day of the 2018 Mediterranean Bowling Championships in Ankara, Turkey. Justin Caruana Scicluna dominated the males category, overcoming challenges from competitive countries like Greece, France and Turkey.

Justin achieved a total of 1,254 points, beating out the Greek team who came in second place with 1,235 points.

In a public Facebook post, he referred to the year of hard work he put in as preparation for this championship.

This is the second time Caruana Scicluna won gold in the singles event, having come in first place in the competition in Slovenia in 2013.

The Mediterranean Bowling Championships continue this week as Maltese competitors face off in the singles and doubles categories against some of the premiere bowlers from around the Mediterranean region.
