Maltese Charity Slams Patients Who Caused Damage To Apartments

Maltese charity Puttinu Cares has published photos which show extensive damage caused to two of its UK apartments by careless residents.
The charity issued a cry for help on Facebook because the flats are expected to receive patients undergoing bone marrow transplants in January.
“It saddens us that sometimes patients do not fully appreciate and take the apartments for granted, or with carelessness cause damage and incur expenses which with a bit of attention could be avoided. These photos show the damage caused because lots of water was allowed to keep flowing from the bathroom,” the charity said, adding that two apartments had to be closed for repairs.
The charity called on the families who use these apartments to take as much care of them as they would their own homes because this is a project for “all the Maltese and Gozitans”.
People have rallied to support the charity and condemn the actions of the patients who caused the damage. Many are even calling for the patients to pay for the damage from their own pocket.
