Maltese Dancer Claps Back At Homophobic Comments After Swimwear Catwalk Look Goes Viral

A Maltese dancer who went viral for showing up to a swimwear catwalk in a bikini has clapped back at the comments he received online… particularly from women who had a lot to say about his outfit.

“You’d expect homophobia from the men but so far so good,” Luke Brincat posted last night following the photos from the new Lumija show – which celebrated diversity and different body types- being shared all over social media yesterday.

“This one’s for the ladies… Y’all following a beauty pageant that’s promoting world peace – but some of you ladies can’t even keep the peace in a comment section.”

“Don’t get me wrong – I’m not at all phased by negative comments as that’s what makes me want to do more,” he continued.

“However, once your comment is on the internet – it is also there for everyone to see,” the young dancer continued. “Remember that your comment is only just a reflection of your own personality and insecurities.”

“Self expression and creativity is not always easy to understand, especially in a medieval minded island such as Malta,” he finished. “So instead of wasting time writing a pointless comment that nobody cares about, use that time to upgrade your mindset to 2023.”
