Maltese Man Imprisoned After Sexually Abusing A Boy – Then Handing Him €10

A 61-year-old man was handed a four year jail term after sexually abusing a boy at Mistra Bay on Thursday.
The boy’s mother called police in Qawra and claimed an elderly man committed an indecent act on her son at the beach.
He told authorities that the man, from Birkirkara, was speaking to his mother and grandmother on the beach and even swam with the family.
Afterwards, the man kissed the minor on the lips and chest while pressing him against a car. He then gave him €10 and said to tell him if he ever needs money.
The suspect was then tracked down.
On Friday, the accused, Raymond Barbara, was charged with crimes that include defiling the minor and committing non-consensual sexual acts.
