Eman Cross, the self-proclaimed leader of the youth wing of Imperium Ewropa, has been charged in court after threatening his mother and partner.

Cross, the leader and founder of Malta Right Wing Youths, was charged with causing fear of violence and insulting and threatening his mother and her partner.

Cross’ lawyers Charles Mercieca, Gianluca Caruana Curran and Ana Thomas tried to block the publication of his name. However, this was shot down by the courts.

Cross, aged 20, did plead guilty to charges of violating a probation order and carrying an unlicensed firearm.

He has been granted bail and will need to live with another family member as a protection order has been issued for the mother and her partner. He must sign the bail book three times a week.

He has also been placed under a treatment order to address his alcoholism.

The case continues in September.
