A man allegedly armed with a sharp weapon was arrested after an argument that left a 25-year-old man with hand injuries.

Police were called to Triq Pace in Fgura on Friday at 4pm after an argument broke out between two men. Officers found the 25-year-old from Kalkara left with light injuries while the suspect fled the scene.

A 39-year-old witness assisted police and the suspect was found and arrested later that day.

The Kalkara resident was taken to Mater Dei to treat his injuries.
