A man is currently fighting for his life after falling in Sliema last night.

The incident took place yesterday at around 7pm near Qui Si Sana beach.

Initial investigations revealed the man had fallen onto the rocks while his identity is not yet known.

A medical team was called to the scene to assist and an ambulance took the man to Mater Dei for treatment where it was certified that he was suffering from serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
