Man Behind Shocking Ħaż-Żabbar Arson Attack Gets Four Years In Prison

The man behind a shocking arson attack in Ħaż-Żabbar has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Yesterday, shocking footage emerged showing a man douse a car in petrol before setting it ablaze while a horrified family watched on last Sunday.

The intimidating incident was caught on camera by a member of the family with one the men saying he was doing it because the family have “no respect”.

The incident is believed to have stemmed from an issue over a parking spot. However, this was not revealed in court today.

Today, Felice Delia, a 54-year-old resident from Wied il-Għajn, appeared in court along with two men who were under 18.

All three pleaded guilty. While Delia was sentenced to four years at Corradino Correctional Facility, the two boys were handed two years suspended the sentence.

The victims were handed a protection order, while the accused will be made to pay for the damage caused.
