Man Carrying 160 Ecstasy Pills And 2 Kilos Of Cannabis Found Sleeping In Msida Primary School
A 35-year-old man has been arrested and accused of selling drugs near a school after he was found living and sleeping in an Msida school which has been closed for the last two years.
Andrej Kristikjevikj from Montenegro was found with 160 ecstasy pills and 2kg of cannabis after a police investigation into the man, and was taken into custody this morning, The Malta Independent reported.
Kristikjevikj, who is reportedly homeless and using the primary school as a place to sleep, was found with the drugs within 100 metres of a school, aggravating the charges against him.
The combined worth of the drugs found on him exceeds €32,000. He was found in Msida Primary School, which is currently closed and has been for the last two years as it undergoes refurbishing.
He was arraigned before magistrate Audrey Demicoli. His legal aid lawyer Mark Mifsud Cutajar pled not guilty on the man’s behalf. Bail was not granted to the man.
