Man Dies After Being Trapped Between Machinery At Qormi Factory
A 34-year-old Nigerian man died yesterday following a workplace accident in Qormi.
The incident happened at around 6.00pm inside a factory in Triq is-Santwarju tal-Ħlas.
The man was unloading products inside a container when he became trapped between some items and machinery.
A medical team was called to the scene, but the worker was unfortunately certified dead on site.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia is leading an inquiry while police investigations, along with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are ongoing.
