Man Gets Suspended Sentence For Ejaculating On Young Woman On Bus In Malta
A man who pleaded guilty to charges of subjecting a young woman to unwanted sexual acts on a bus in Malta has been handed a suspended sentence.
Mohamed Mahmud Dirie, a 36-year-old Somali construction worker living in Birkirkara, was charged with committing a non-consensual sexual act after ejaculating on the woman while on a packed bus. He pleaded guilty to all charges.
The incident happened in July and occurred while Dirie was aboard the number 14 bus from Valletta to St Julian’s at around 10pm. The bus was full with people at the time of the act.
Dirije was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for two years, with the court taking into account his cooperation with police, his guilty plea and his clean criminal record.
