A man was run over after an argument in San Ġwann.

In a statement, police said that they were informed that a group of men had gotten into a fight along Triq il-Gallina at around 9.30pm. 

The argument was between two men, believed to be residents of  San Ġwann, and a Polish national, aged 27. 

After the argument, the Polish man was run over by Renault Zoe driven by the two men, who fled the scene soon after. 

The two men’s identities are not known.

A medical team rushed on site and the man was taken to a hospital where was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries. 

A police investigation is on its way.
