Preliminary investigations suggest that the man – a resident of Qormi – lost control of his Toyota Aygo and crashed into a room just off the side of the road.

He was assisted by a medical team and members of the CPD before being taken to Mater Dei by ambulance.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.
