Man Who Died In Żejtun Traffic Accident Named As Anthony Bongailas
The 69-year-old man who died yesterday after he was run over by a van in Żejtun has been named as Anthony Bongailas.
Bongailas was run by an Isuzu Elf truck, which was being driven by a 62-year-old man, at around 9.20am along Triq Id-Daħla ta’ San Tumas.
He was taken to Mater Dei hospital to receive treatment but he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Beland band club in Żejtun, which Bongailas was a member of, posted a tribute to him.
He is the 22nd traffic accident victim this year.
