Man Who Exposed Himself To 12-Year-Old Girl In Fgura Denied Bail
A man has been charged with exposing himself to a 12-year-old girl.
Louis Calleja, aged 41, pleaded not guilty to defiling a minor in June 2022. The incident happened as the girl was walking along a street in Fgura, where she lives.
The girl and her mother took the issue immediately to the police and told them that Calleja asked whether she “liked boys or girls” before exposing himself.
Police investigations uncovered CCTV footage in the area and they were able to confirm the girl’s claims.
Footage allegedly shows Calleja speaking to the girl before she suddenly takes off.
Calleja’s request for bail was rejected by the court with the girl yet to testify in the case and there existed fears that he could tamper with evidence.
