‘Je Suis Mona60000’: Mark Camilleri Calls Police Union ‘A Bunch Of Clowns’ For Focusing On TikToker Case

Maltese author and historian Mark Camilleri has called the police union “a bunch of clowns” for focusing on a recent Tiktoker case, stressing that there are much bigger criminals to focus on in Malta.

This comes after the union called for controversial TikToker Mona 60000 to be charged after she referred to Malta’s police as “pufti”, commonly used as a derogatory term towards queer men.

“The MPU is asking the police commissioner to prosecute the TikToker with the same law that Rosianne Cutajar is using against me in a vexatious case,” he explained in the blog post, calling for the law to be scrapped altogether.

Camilleri referenced the political crisis that Malta went through back in 2019, “due to high-level criminality emanating from the highest echelons of government”.

“The Office of the Prime Minister was also implicated in the murder of a journalist and despite the fact that we became a lawless state where criminals and politicians enjoy immunity from the law, the Police Union is concerned about a teenager calling them “f*****s”,” Camilleri wrote.

“What a bunch of fucking clowns,” he said right after.

Though he criticised them strongly, Camilleri did say that if needed he would be the first to call the police.

“Look, I believe in a strong police force which protects and takes care of its citizens. I’m the first boring, old and annoying, top-button-of-the-shirt-closed-asshole who would call the police as soon as my teenage neighbours throw a loud party and smoke weed,” he expressed right after.

Within the blog post, Camilleri embedded the classic hip hop song, ‘Fuk Da Police’ by N.W.A.

Camilleri then addressed Mona, in case she was reading the article, saying that he would be more than happy to introduce her to a number of local hip-hop artists who would make music with her.

“You’re a star now. Here is my email for your perusal: [email protected],” Camilleri concluded.
