Marsa Criminals ‘Hung Comic Book Costumes Of Murder Victims In Potato Shed’

It may have passed under the radar but Jason Azzopardi made a pretty disturbing allegation about the nonchalant attitude within the Maltese underworld during a recent interview on Jon Mallia’s podcast.

According to Azzopardi, high-ranking criminals showed off their successful murders by hanging up costumes of comic book and film characters at the infamous Marsa potato shed for each person they killed.

“There were costumes hanging in the potato shed that represented film and comic book characters and each one represented a murder victim,” he said. “I will stop here. I won’t say who killed them, even if I know who did, but I will just say for now that there were costumes of several film personalities and that each one had the name of a murder victim attached to it.”

He said that these costumes were removed from the potato shed before George Degiorgio, Alfred Degiorgio and Vince Muscat were arrested for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galzia in 2017, lending credence to fears that the suspects had been tipped off about their impending arrest.

“The potato shed was the crime campus of Malta, a one-stop-shop for anyone who wanted to organise a murder, a holdup, or a drug importation. I am ashamed to say that in such a small country, such impunity was allowed to reign with complete nonchalance right under the eyes of so many people.”
