Marsa Man Tased By Police As He’s Caught Red-Handed Robbing Paola Store
An armed man was tased by police officers as he attempted to flee the scene of his crime.
Police were informed of a hooded man acting suspiciously inside of a store in Ħaż-Żabbar Street, Raħal Ġdid. Upon entering the store, they found the cashier who appeared frightened, and the man, who immediately tried to run out of the store.
The police ordered him to stop, but he ignored them. Officers apprehended the man, who continued to resist, when they noticed he was carrying a knife.
This led to the use of a taser to “bring the man under control and arrest him”.
The man is a 23-year-old from Marsa. It is believed he entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the 27-year-old cashier.
Police investigations are continuing.
