A 29-year-old Eritrean man has been identified as the victim of a road traffic accident in Marsa over the weekend. 

The accident happened on 21st August along Triq Diċembru-13, the third fatality on the road this year and the 16th on Malta’s roads this year. He was run over by a vehicle and was certified dead on site.

The driver of the vehicle is a 24-yar-old man from Qormi. 

No more details were provided. A police investigation is underway.
