Just in case we didn’t already have enough road closures, a section of Mdina road will be closed for three weeks starting today.

Infrastructure Malta announced the road closure on social media, detailing how the road will be closed from 8th November for reconstruction works. 

The part of Mdina Road that will be affected due to the works is from the direction of Balzan to Birkirkara.

Some suggested alternative routes are De Paule Avenue in Balzan, Triq il-Kummerċ in Mrieħel, and Triq il-Mitħna in Qormi.

Access to Mriehel Bypass from L-Imdina Road, Balzan – through the underpass, and access from Mdina Road, Birkirkara to Balzan/Attard – through the new road passing over the underpass will remain undisturbed.
