Memorial Mass For Hugo Chetcuti This Weekend On First Anniversary Of His Murder
A memorial mass for Hugo Chetcuti will take place this weekend at the Millennium Chapel, on the first anniversary of his murder.
The late Paceville entrepreneur’s brother Isaac Chetcuti made a statement on Facebook, informing people that the mass will take place on Friday at 6:30pm.
“One year ago today, at around 10:45pm, that monster who I hope will remain in prison for life, attacked you in front of me and our family,” Chetcuti posted a few days ago. :I still can’t believe that you are gone one year later. You are so deeply missed that is heart-wrenching, till we meet again. Love you loads brother.”
Hugo Chetcuti was stabbed outside one of his many Paceville outlets on 6th July last year and succumbed to his injuries in hospital six days later.
Serbian national Bojan Cmelik, a former employee at one of his establishments, has been charged with his murder but is pleading not guilty.
During his prosecution, it emerged that the suspect was born Bojan Mitić and that he had been convicted and jailed in Serbia for taking part in an armed robbery in 2005. Mitić had his surname officially changed to Cmelik before leaving Serbia.
