A memorial set up in remembrance of Ħal-Far murder victim Lassana Cisse Souleymane has been vandalised.
The makeshift memorial featured stones engraved with words of respect to the man. However, posts on social media yesterday now show the rocks to have been smashed on the ground. There are also a number of cardboard boxes, presumably trash, now at the site.
Souleymane had been walking home after offering his support to fellow migrants at an open centre, when he fell victim to a suspected racially-motivated hit and run. Two members of the Armed Forces are currently facing charges for the crime.
It is currently unknown who the culprits of this act are, or if there were any further motives for this vandalism.
