PN Leader Bernard Grech has just arrived at the Naxxar Counting Hall to a jubilant crowd who seemed very happy to see him.

Hugging people and thanking them for their support as he squeezed his way into the hall, Grech was in clear high spirits and everyone around him started chanting and shouting.

Earlier today, Grech said in his first comment that he was “very satisfied” with the election result, even if PL technically won it.

“This is the only survey result that counts,” Grech said in a televised statement on NET after reports starting coming in that this could very well end up being the tightest election in more than a decade. “It’s clear that the Maltese population wants better leadership and transparency rather than a political spin. The message is clear.”

“I am being told that the gap between the two parties is 15,000 votes, or perhaps even less. It is clear that the PN is moving forward in a calm and mature manner. People not only want a better country but are realising it is only the PN that can provide this,” the Opposition leader stated.

“Tomorrow, Labour will still be in government, but this result is a clear message to those who think they can be arrogant, who think they can be harsh on a mother who lost her son and wanted answers. People think it was something small but it wasn’t. If a politician cannot have humanity in such a horrible moment, how can he ever be able to understand you?”

Lovin Malta is live from the Naxxar Counting Hall all day today, so stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
