Young PL MEP candidate Thomas Bajada was all smiles this morning as vote counting kicked off, saying it was now “all in the hands of the people” following an intense campaign leading up to yesterday’s election.

“Now let’s see a bit the initial gap indications, and even to see where the independent votes went,” Bajada told Lovin Malta’s Clara.

“I don’t exclude the fact,” Bajada said when asked about his chances of getting elected. “But I have no regrets, I gave my 100%. I gave everything I could, even as far as where I want politics to go, so I think this could be the beginning of something beautiful for Malta.”

“I think the most beautiful survey was the one we did yesterday,” the young candidate said when asked about all the surveys leading up to the elections and where he had placed there.
