Watch: ‘There’s No Difference’ Metsola On Return To Local Politics
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola could be well on her way to secure a historic number of votes to be re-elected as a Maltese MEP… but while many might want her to return to her home country to enter local politics, she didn’t seem to see any difference between the two.
“The work continues,” Metsola told Lovin Malta’s Clara Sciberras after triumphantly arriving in the Naxxar Counting Hall amidst reports of her incredible performance.
“To whoever voted for the PN candidates, I thank them. To whoever voted for the other parties and candidates, we still need to talk to you, listen to you and understand you.”
“There’s no difference between the national and European levels,” Metsola said when asked about what her reaction is to returning to Malta for local politics. “We’re here.”
