Michael Meilak Identified As Għasri Man Found Dead With Head Wounds
Tributes and condolences are pouring in for Michael Meilak, the man found with head wounds in Gozo today.
“We send our condolences to his family, friends and loved ones as well as all those feeling his loss – Father, may he rest in peace,” said one person online, leading to a stream of condolences.
Meilak was found on the ground in a small lane in Triq il-Knisja, Għasri, Gozo, this morning at around 10.20, with questions swirling around whether any foul play or third party was involved in his death.
Aged 60, Meilak was found with visible head injuries, police noted today.
Officials tried to save the man when he was discovered, but he was determined to be dead on the scene.
Investigations are underway to understand the dynamics behind the death, with Magistrate Brigitte Sultana appointing various experts to assist her in the inquiry.
